NEW Themed Movie Bus

Helping in the Community - Happy Boston Movie Tours charity auction winner

What a great first full year of business for Boston Movie Tours.

Thank you to all of our customers, family, partners and friends for helping establish one of the best themed tours on the East Coast. We still have a long way to go but the future is looking very bright.

And overall, 2006 was a landmark year for Massachusetts as a new tax incentive plan helped fuel new productions such as Gone Baby Gone (Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck) , The Game Plan (The Rock), Stiffs (Danny Aiello) and On Broadway (Donnie Wahlberg, Amy Poehler).

2006 Highlights

Business nearly tripled our 2005 numbers. From Thailand to Australia, guests are experiencing the movie side of Boston.
Addition of Theater-on-Wheels movie bus. For the complete movie themed bus experience.
Increase of hot new Boston movie locations including Martin Scorsese’s Golden Globe nominee The Departed.
Plenty of press coverage. Boston Movie Tours was featured in The Boston Globe, USA Today and Christian Science Monitor to name a few. Complete list.
New Business Office. At Boston filming think tank Dream Alley Pictures (Thanks Jen).
Helping Charity. Boston Movie tours donated tours to over 20 charities including the United Way, Brain Aneurysm Foundation, Good Sports and many more.
Established Intern Program for local students. Thank you to 1st year interns Stephanie Costello (Emerson), Christina Manuel (Suffolk) and Jessica Cornell (Boston University).

From the Only if we could be this good in Vegas file….. Back in September, we made some Oscar predictions on The Departed.

While we have to wait until next month for the nominations to be announced, the Golden Globes nomination predictions were dead on. We were about the only ones to predict Mark Wahlberg for Best Supporting Actor so we are pretty excited for our local Boston guy.

Golden Globe Award Boston Movie Tours Prediction/Official Golden Globes Nomintation
Best Actor Leonardo DiCaprio
Best Picture The Departed
