What a great first full year of business for Boston Movie Tours. Thank you to all of our customers, family, partners and friends for helping establish one of the best themed tours on the East Coast. We still have a long way to go but the future is looking very bright. And overall, 2006 was a landmark year for Massachusetts as a new tax incentive plan helped fuel new productions such as Gone Baby Gone (Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck) , The Game Plan (The Rock), Stiffs (Danny Aiello) and On Broadway (Donnie Wahlberg, Amy Poehler). 2006 Highlights

From the Only if we could be this good in Vegas file….. Back in September, we made some Oscar predictions on The Departed. While we have to wait until next month for the nominations to be announced, the Golden Globes nomination predictions were dead on. We were about the only ones to predict Mark Wahlberg for Best Supporting Actor so we are pretty excited for our local Boston guy.

Speaking of the Oscars, Hollywood comes to Boston on Sunday, February 25 for the sizzling Oscar Night® America celebration. Partygoers will have the opportunity to show off their black-tie finest on the red carpet while raising funds for a good cause. 100% of the proceeds raised by Oscar Night® America will benefit The Ellie Fund’s innovative Care for the Caregiver program. A Boston Movie Tours family four pack will be auctioned off. No details have been announced but we also expect the Massachusetts Film Bureau to host another similar event. |

The votes came in but Boston Movie Tours fell a bit short for the most unique walking tour in Boston. It was an honor being nominated for this award considering all the fantastic attractions Boston has to offer. Congrats to the winner North End Market Tours. Thanks to all of you for your support. We really appreciate the time you took to vote. In all, the event at the Park Plaza was fantastic. |

The east coast pioneer, On Location Tours led the charge offering movie location tours of New York in 1999. After Boston Movie Tours opened in 2005, Philadelphia Film Tours began operations in the summer of 2006. On Location Tours just opened up its second location in Washington, DC in the fall of 2006.
