Where does the tour meet?
Tours meet at the Boston Common Visitors Center, 147 Tremont Street, next to the Park Street MBTA stop on the Red & Green line.Is there any walking on the tour ?
We do walk from the Visitor's Center to the top of the State House, which is about a 300 yard walk, but it can be a little too steep for some. Let your tour guide know if anyone in your party cannot make it up the hill and we will make the appropriate arrangements.Where does the tour finish?
The tour ends at Cheers located at 84 Beacon St. about a half mile away from the Visitor’s Center, perfect for a post tour drink! Details about your meeting location will be provided upon purchasing your tickets.When should I arrive at the Visitor’s Center?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes early, and allow ample time to find parking! Look for your Tour Guide in a red Boston Movie Tours polo shirt or jacket outside the Visitor Center. If you're having trouble finding your guide, please call us at 866-668-4345.What is your cancelation policy?
All tickets are non-refundable. However, we realize schedules may change while you are on vacation. You may reschedule up to 24 hours before the time of your scheduled tour.Just send an email to support@bostonmovietours.net with the date/time you wish to reschedule. Or contact your reseller.
For guests whose tour is cancelled by Boston Movie Tours due to weather or another reason, a full refund will be issued.
Where do I park my car?
There is a parking garage located on Charles Street with is underneath the Boston Common which is right where we start our tours. Please allocate at least 15 minutes to park and walk to the Visitor Center from the Boston Common garage. Rates are as follows:
Weekdays: Enter between 6 AM - 4 PM
Up to 1 hr: $8
Up to 2 hrs: $12
Up to 3 hrs: $16
Up to 10 hrs: $22
24-hour maximum charge: $27
Evening Rate: Enter between 4 PM - 6 AM AND exit by 8 AM
Pay just $11 when you enter the Garage after 4 PM and exit before 8 AM.
Weekend Rate: Enter after 6 AM on Saturday or Sunday and exit by 8 AM the next morning...$11
Enter after 6 AM Saturday and exit by 8 AM on Monday...$22How long is the tour?
The tour lasts approximately 2 to 2.5 hours depending on traffic.Do we get off the bus at all?
Yes. We do get off the bus a handful of times so you can stretch your legs and get a closer look at the shooting locations!Are there any bathrooms at any of these stops?
Yes. On the tour we stop in at the L Street Tavern where Good Will Hunting was filmed and they do have bathrooms inside (the stop is about halfway through the tour, or about an hour into it).What if it is raining?
The tour does run rain or shine. In the event of severe or unsafe weather that would force us to cancel, you will be able to reschedule subject to availability or receive credit for a future event.What should I wear?
New England weather changes rapidly, so please be prepared for sudden rain. Dress comfortably and in accordance with the day's weather.What should I bring?
If you would like to drink at Cheers or the L Street Tavern, please bring a proper I.D.I’m not a big movie buff. Will I still like the tour?
Absolutely. The main goal of Boston Movie Tours is to have fun, and non-movie buffs are no exception. On the tour we play various games that anyone can win.Will I run into a movie star?
It is possible but unlikely. But we’ll keep our eyes open.I am a big movie fan. How can I become a tour guide?

At this time, Movie Tours are only conducted in English.Should I tip my guide after the tour?
It is customary to offer your guide a small tip if you are pleased with the quality of your tour and you would like to express your gratitude for a job well done! Tips are not required.Can I book a private or group tour?
Yes. Visit the Groups page for more information.Is there an age requirement on this tour?
No. There is no age requirement but the movies we feature on our tour tend to be more adult oriented. Although we may discuss 1-2 child oriented movies - please keep this in mind if bringing your kids along!What kind of bus will we be on?
Your tour bus is climate controlled and has heating in cold weather and air conditioning for hot summer days!Can I bring drinks on the bus?
You are welcome to bring non-alcoholic drinks on the bus, but alcohol is not permitted on board.Is the bus handicapped accessible?
The bus does have a few steps that one has to climb in order to board, but most people are able to do so with assistance. The bus has storage space to stow a wheelchair, stroller, or even small luggage! Please do let us know if you need any special accommodations upon purchasing your tickets so we can make the appropriate arrangements.Can I take pictures on the tour?
Absolutely. Feel free to take along your camcorders and cameras to capture the sites of Boston. Keep in mind that the tour is copyrighted by Take One Tours, LLC so the content can not be used commercially without permission.
